A KINDER WAY TO FLOURISH
THOUGHTS FROM A HAPPY CREATIVE
LIVING IN THE COUNTRY
A fun workshop in the beautiful Mrs Clarke's General Store, learning about style, what it is and how to make your home cosy and inviting over the colder seasons. Learn how to make the best of what you have without spending a fortune and gain the confidence to be bold in your styling decisions, giving your surroundings a seasonal boost you will love all winter, not just over the Christmas holidays. If you would like to learn more about taking the best pictures for your Instagram feed whilst having a unique opportunity to stock up on stylish photographs with beautiful props then join me and Alicia, owner of Mrs Clarke's, for a day of hands-on light-hearted learning. The workshop is for lovers of interiors, lifestyle and country living as well as anyone who wants to improve their phone photography and styling skills. The day will start at 10.00am with a welcoming coffee, followed by an introduction to styling and a relaxing session making a mood board. After an informal lunch at approximately 12.30pm, there will be a session on phone photography and editing before letting you loose in the shop to practise your new skills. I will be available to chat to everyone individually and Alicia will be on hand to answer any interior design questions. The workshop is open to all levels, beginners are very welcome and all you need to bring is a phone with the latest version of Instagram installed and a phone charger. Parking is free all day in the nearby Co-op car park.
After the very positive feedback from our first Suffolk Salon, Maria Dernikos and I are delighted to be organising our next breakfast meet up on Monday 18th March. We will be returning to the boutique restaurant, Long Melford Swan, for brunch and banter (and a lovely surprise raffle). The meet up starts at 10.00am with tea/coffee, brunch of your choice will be served at 10.30am. There will be plenty of time to mingle and chat with everyone who comes along; at the last event there was an amazingly diverse group of creative Instagrammers from Suffolk and the surrounding areas. Held in the Garden Room, the informal setting makes it a great place to come and tell people about what you do, meet other creatives and hopefully some IG friends. Our idea behind the Salon is to gather all the incredibly talented and interesting Instagrammers in Suffolk together in a friendly, non-competitive atmosphere, where makers and creatives of all kinds can connect. It doesn't matter what you do or how many followers you have, everyone is welcome. Tickets are limited and must be purchased by Wednesday 13th March at the latest. We look forward to seeing you there! Lindsey and Maria x
After some procrastinating, Maria Dernikos and I are biting the bullet and are hosting a breakfast meet up on 21st January at The Swan, Long Melford, Suffolk. It’s an informal couple of hours, starting at 10.00am with tea/coffee, brunch at 10.30am then more chatter and nattering. We thought it would be a lovely idea to try and get together as many of the fabulously talented and interesting Instagrammers we can from Suffolk and the surrounding counties. We are such a varied bunch of creatives, so it doesn't matter what your interests are, you are certain to find someone to share a story with. Come along to meet some familiar faces and a few new ones, have a chat and hopefully go home feeling inspired and happy that you came along. We have kept the price as low as we can just to cover expenses - the morning with brunch and unlimited tea/coffee will be £15.00. If you would like to come along, it would be lovely to see you. You are most welcome to bring other Instagrammers, the more the merrier. We need to tell the Hotel final numbers by Friday so it would be greatly appreciated if you could confirm your choice of brunch to me and pay for your ticket in advance.
